The thriller Black Klansman, created by Jordan Peele and Spike Lee, is currently in the works and we can’t wait to see what’s in store.
The film will be based on the story of a black Colorado detective who infiltrated the KKK in 1978. The officer, Ron Stallworth, reportedly communicated with members of the KKK via written correspondence or by phone. It was reported that Stallworth would have a white police officer pose as him and attend events for which his presence was required.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spike Lee will direct the film, while Jordan Peele and Blumhouse Productions will produce. John David Washington, son of Denzel Washington, will star as Stallworth in the movie.
In addition to Black Klansman, Lee and Peele both have several other projects coming up. Lee’s adaptation of his 1986 movie “She’s Got to Have it,” is set to be released on Netflix in November. After Peele’s huge success with the thriller Get Out, he has decided to write and direct another film in the same genre.
