She is an empowered maverick and entrepreneur from Little Rock, Arkansas, who ran a successful lemonade stand in her grandparent’s backyard. Now, with the help of her mother 7-year-old Kyleigh McGee expanded her operations to her own mobile food truck.
McGee told ABC News that she came up with the idea last summer to expand her business and make it mobile saying,
“We had a lemonade stand in my grandparents’ backyard and we started to make a lot of money with it. So I thought why don’t we have a lemonade stand to bring to events?”
Gabrielle Williams, Kyleigh’s mother, told ABC News that her dedication led to the investment in the food truck, which used to be a show cone stand. She goes on to say, “She had so much fun with it and she had a chance to kind of get an idea of how it is to be an entrepreneur.” She also said the food truck is teaching her responsibilities, how to save and count money.
“Everyone is so excited, I have gotten so many phone calls, so many messages,” Williams said. “It happened so fast … the response we’ve gotten, I don’t think I was expecting that.
The truck also serves hot dogs, ice cream, and pineapple snowiness.
“Everybody’s been going crazy about the pineapple snow cones with pineapple juice at the bottom,” Williams added, saying that the lemonade also remains a crowd favorite, “everybody is saying, ‘This is the best lemonade I have ever had.'”
When asked about her favorite part of running the business, Kyleigh said, “being the boss and serving people food”
Kyleigh wants everyone to check out her food stand saying, “You can come downtown and look at it yourself, and get some nice food.” Find out where the truck will be or book it via Facebook.
